How is it that trees and plants know the future weather? An old country saying that lots of holly berries on the bush meant a cold winter and if none then it was to be a mild one.
Then I noticed a pattern in the sunspots and temperature, and thought what if the weather is delayed or out of phase with the sunspots 3-6 months. Allowing the plants and trees information about the coming winter/summer.
The graph above shows monthly number of sunspots from Jan 95 to present. The figures are from SIDC Solar Influences Data Analysis Center.
In the UK Summer 95 was hot and dry and the sunspots nearly constant. The last few winters have be fairly cold again sunspots nearly constant.
The little ice age was caused by the lack of sunspots (frost fairs on the frozen river Thames)
I am working on the idea that sunspots 4 months
in advance Aug 2009 gives Dec 2010 (please note that sunspot figures are available at the end of the month). Also the larger the change in sunspots the more wet and mild it is, and likewise constant numbers give dry and hot (summer) and cold (winter).
Also It
possible that the United States is
influenced 1 month before the UK
WeatherJuly 2010 UK / June 2010 USAA small reduction in sunspots number from high last month, not as hot as last month with some showers

This is ongoing and will be making monthly updates. If you would like to use this and/or if you would like to add to it please do so.
